ASTM carbon black committee meets.American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM ASTM abbr. American Society for Testing and Materials ) International Committee D24 on Carbon Black will convene April 25-28 in Stresa, Italy. The developer of widely used industry standards, ASTM International ASTM International (ASTM) is an international standards developing organization that develops and publishes voluntary technical standards for a wide range of materials, products, systems, and services. Committee D24 develops standard reference blacks that are standard compounding ingredients used to achieve better agreement with standard ASTM International recipes and inter-laboratory test comparison. Committee D24 also maintains the D1765 standard, the standard classification system for carbon black used in rubber products. During the meeting, Jean-Baptiste Donnet, professor emeritus at the Universite de Haute haute adj.
