ASSOCIATION PEOPLE.Dean Kleckner, former president of the American Farm Bureau, has been named chairman of Truth About Trade, an Iowa-based national grassroots advocacy organization. Kleckner served as president of the American Farm Bureau for 14 years, from 1986 until 2000. "Truth About Trade is a strong national organization with an extremely important mission -- to stand up for farm exports and advancements in biotechnology based on sound science," states Kleckner. "After a lifetime in agriculture and farm advocacy, I look forward to helping Truth About Trade carry its message to Washington and beyond." The U.S. Grains Council, Washington, D.C., names Erick R. Erickson vice president. Cook currently serves as an Iowa Corn Promotion Board director. Spurgin is the current chairman of the Texas Grain Sorghum Producers Board and has been a member of the USGC board since 1988. Jacoby is vice president, customer relations for DirectAg.com. Wolf is a former chairman of the Illinois corn marketing board. He also chairs the Illinois Council on Food and Agricultural Research. John Kellogg of Yorkville, Ill., is re-elected president of the 15-member National Pork Board. Hugh Dorminy, a producer from Russellville, Ark., is elected vice president. Kellogg is a commercial producer with 1,200 sows. Dorminy is general manager of Cargill Pork. The California Milk Producers Advisory Board, Moesto, Calif., has announced that Stan G. Andre will succeed Adri G. Boudewyn as CEO effective Jan. 1, 2001, upon Boudewyn's retirement. Andre most recently served as senior vice president of marketing and sales for Nulaid Foods, Inc. Tyler Wegmeyer joins the North American Equipment Dealers Association, Fenton, Mo., as manager of government affairs. He will work out of the association's legislative office in Washington, D.C.
