ASSET STRIPPER; Streaker protests over fatcats - in wrong bank.

A SERIAL streaker stripped naked in a bank to protest against shamed RBS boss Fred Goodwin.

But daft Mark Roberts chose the wrong bank - he got his kit off at a branch of the Halifax which merged with the Bank of Scotland, not the Royal.

Roberts queued patiently at a Halifax branch in Liverpool - but when he got to the front, he ripped off his coat to reveal the words "Fred Goodwin" daubed on his back, with an arrow pointing to his backside.

Mark later explained he did the streak as his message of support to investors who have lost the shirts of their backs while Goodwin has banked a huge pension.

Stunned customers didn't know where to look when painter Mark, 44, stripped.

But he did manage to steal a kiss from one of the girls behind the counter and make good his escape before the police arrived.

Mark, from Liverpool, shot to fame after streaking on This Morning weatherman Fred Talbot's floating map and in 2004, streaked at the Superbowl in Houston, Texas.

He said: "I was a bit nervous before the streak because I thought I might get nabbed by securty guards or the police.

"But I guess the bank staff could see that I was not carrying any offensive weapon so they just smiled and enjoyed a laugh."

Asked why he staged the protest, fatherof-two Mark added: "Everybody's got friends and relatives who have lost money or been put out of work because of the actions of greedy bankers.

"It would be a good idea to put Fred Goodwin in the stocks, naked, and let people show what they think of him!

"It is the first time I have streaked a bank and maybe I'll find a black-tie bankers' dinner and streak that too. That will wipe the smiles off their faces."
