 ASSET LEVEL REDUCED IN RYDER DISCONTINUED BUSINESS
 MIAMI, March 6 /PRNewswire/ -- In a presentation to security


analysts here today, Robert G. Lambert, senior executive vice president-Aviation, said that Ryder System (NYSE: R) has successfully disposed of some of the assets in its discontinued aircraft leasing business. The assets sold include notes receivable and seven Boeing 727s. Honoring an agreement it reached with the buyers, Ryder did not disclose any additional information concerning the disposition.
 With this disposition, assets of the discontinued aircraft leasing business have been reduced from $73 million at year-end 1991 to $19 million. There are 24 aircraft remaining in Ryder's fleet.
