 Aerospace was nominated for providing outstanding research, science, engineering, and technical support to KSC through the University-affiliated Spaceport Technology Development Contract (USTDC USTDC University-affiliated Spaceport Technology Development Contract

). The award stems from the companies significant participation in the Space Shuttle Columbia accident investigation and its current responsibilities in the Space Shuttle return to flight.

ASRC Aerospace is leading the development of advanced spaceport and range technology at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) under USTDC. The five-year KSC contract has an estimated initial value of $220 million plus five one-year options that could raise the potential value of the full contract to $600 million.
