ASPEC 2000, the first technology-to-business tradeshow and conference for the Application Service Provider (ASP) industry, today announced the addition of Hewlett Packard, IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries) , Oracle, PeopleSoft and FirstWave as sponsors for the first-year event.

The five companies join Citrix as sponsors for ASPEC 2000, which takes place December 7-9 at the Georgia World Congress Center The Georgia World Congress Center or GWCC is the major convention center in Atlanta. It is the fourth-largest convention center in the United States at 1.4 million ft2 (130,000 m2) and hosts more than a million visitors each year.  in Atlanta, GA. Citrix was announced in May as the event's founding sponsor.

Frank Sheridan, vice president of ASPEC 2000, said the addition of the powerhouse companies and their expertise in the ASP industry will serve as an enormous resource not only to the conference, but also to the participating companies, which will have the opportunity to communicate directly with the decision-makers in a range of businesses.
