E Labor.com has launched its enterprise-wide project management solution as an application service provider (ASP) for Microsoft Project 2000, Enterprise Project and Microsoft Project Central. The Camarillo, Calif.-based company says its version will help customers by: reducing total cost of ownership, with pricing on a cost-per-employee basis and the elimination of high IT staffing and software/hardware investment costs; offering rapid deployment, automatic upgrades and routine archive/backup; improving multi-level portfolio planning, allowing users to plan and manage all projects in the context of the enterprise; offering skills-based resource management, enabled by Enterprise Project's high-speed engine, which automates resource-schedule leveling and optimization; and providing executive-level decision support, with instant, enterprise-wide snapshots of budget costs, capacity, performance and revenue projections, which give project managers real-time views of project status, resource availability, forecas ts and backlogs.
