ASK MS. TRAFFIC : ALLEY POTHOLE FILLED IN SUN VALLEY; TREE LIMBS PRUNED IN STUDIO CITY.

An alley bordered by Stagg Street and Vineland, Ensign and Keswick avenues in Sun Valley is in terrible condition.

Motorists entering the alley from Keswick have to contend with one particularly large pothole pothole, in geology, cylindrical pit formed in the rocky channel of a turbulent stream. It is formed and enlarged by the abrading action of pebbles and cobbles that are carried by eddies, or circular water currents that move against the main current of a stream.  in the middle of the roadway.

Can that pothole be filled to make the alley passable pass·a·ble

The pothole in question was filled as a result of your concern, said Abe Navarro, the East Valley street maintenance superintendent.

Requests for pothole repairs to other city streets can be made by calling the Street Maintenance Bureau's Service Request Center at (213) 485-5661. Callers must provide a specific address or location where the problem is located.

In the 19 years we've lived near Strathern Street between Ventura Canyon Avenue and Greenbush Avenue in Van Nuys, we have yet to see any resurfacing work done in our neighborhood.

Strathern Street has become a roadway dotted with numerous potholes and dangerous dips that practically devour de·vour

Would it be possible for the street to get resurfaced like many of the Valley's streets have been in recent months?

- M.F., Van Nuys

While the street wasn't approved for complete resurfacing, the potholes spotting the street were filled, said Abe Navarro with the East Valley Street Maintenance Department.

Can anything be done about a dangerous pedestrian traffic signal at Hazeltine Avenue and Moorpark Street in Sherman Oaks?

I can't tell you how many times I've attempted to cross Hazeltine as quickly as possible when the pedestrian walking sign turns on only to be nearly side-swiped by speeding motorists making a left turn from Hazeltine to Moorpark.

Right-turning motorists are also just as impatient im·pa·tient

Can the painted crosswalk markings across Moorpark at Murietta Avenue that were visible before Moorpark was resurfaced be repainted for our safety?

In fact, Gallagher said that a check of recorded accidents at the intersection revealed only one.

While crosswalk markings at Murietta were not repainted onto the roadway, pedestrians can still cross the street at this location, he said.

Can we look forward to the resurfacing of Kittridge Avenue between Lankershim Boulevard and Tujunga Avenue in North Hollywood?

The roadway is made up of a combination of potholes and ruts.

We would certainly appreciate having this stretch of Kittridge getting resurfaced like the stretch from Laurel Canyon Boulevard Laurel Canyon Boulevard is a major street in the city of Los Angeles, California. It starts off at Polk Street in Sylmar in the northern San Fernando Valley near the junction of the San Diego (Interstate 405) and the Golden State Freeways (Interstate 5).  to Lankershim Boulevard which was resurfaced in recent months.

- W.L., North Hollywood

A check of the location convinced representatives of the East Valley Street Maintenance Bureau that the roadway needs repair, Abe Navarro said.

This location was recommended for inclusion in a future Annual Resurfacing Program, Navarro said.

Navarro said that more streets than can be funded are submitted for consideration in the resurfacing program. Streets that meet the selection criteria but can't be included for budgetary reasons are reconsidered for the following year's program, he said.
