ASIC Semiconductor Names New National Sales Manager.

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 12, 1996--ASIC Semiconductor Inc. has appointed Ronald Marfil to national sales manager.

Ron, who has more than twenty-five years experience in the semiconductor industry, will be responsible for developing and implementing all sales programs for the U.S., including overseeing of sales representation organizations and distribution and design partners.

Ron was most recently with IMP Inc., in Santa Clara, where he was sales manager for that company's programmable products line. He has also been manager of ASIC products for GEC Plessey in Scotts Valley, Calif., and VLSI Technology Inc. in San Jose. He has also held positions with National Semiconductor, Advanced Micro Devices, Intersil and Qualidyne. Ron started his career with Fairchild Semiconductor in the 1960s as an applications engineer.

ASIC Semiconductor International Corp., a privately-held, California corporation founded in 1995, is dedicated to the design and manufacture of application specific integrated circuits (ASICs). In January of 1996, ASIC Semiconductor acquired Pacific Semiconductor of San Jose, Calif.
