, today announced the appointment of Elizabeth Hughes to the position of vice president of human resources The fancy word for "people." Prior to joining ASIC Alliance, Hughes was vice president of corporate human resources at Renaissance Worldwide, a global IT and management-consulting firm providing business and technology services. There, she was involved in creating the human resources infrastructure, designing human resources programs and providing organizational support. Her past experience also includes being a part of the original team that started a company for Fidelity in the outsourcing (1) Contracting with outside consultants, software houses or service bureaus to perform systems analysis, programming and datacenter operations. There he directed all of the company's technical operations. Moreno has over 20 years of experience, including executive engineering positions at Databook, Software House and Digital Equipment Corporation. He began his career as a design engineer at Polaroid. He currently resides in Charlestown, Mass.
