ASIAN INFLUENCE ON SOUTHLAND.Byline: - Daily News LANCASTER - Art with Asian themes will be on exhibit Saturday through Aug. 1 at the Lancaster Museum/Art Gallery, 44801 Sierra Highway Sierra Highway is a road in Southern California, United States. It runs from Tunnel Station near the north limit of the City of Los Angeles, where it intersects with San Fernando Road and Foothill Boulevard, as well as Interstate 5, and continues north to Mojave, mostly paralleling . The show, ``Expressions of Asian Artists,'' will feature the artwork and collections of Buklod Ng Pagkakaisa, Renato De Guia, Jerome Esguerra, Tamotsu ``Tom'' Fujiwara, Jeane Lehnhoff, Donna Plummer, Magi Romero, Prapat Sirinavarat and Suzy Shiu Shiu So. The artists draw inspiration from China, Japan, Tibet, the Philippines, Thailand, Korea and Vietnam. Some of the Asian-American artists follow traditional Asian themes, while others work in contemporary non-Asian styles. Among the items on display are colorful Japanese kimonos, paintings on hanging screens and folded screens, furniture, decorative handicrafts, Buddha statuary stat·u·ar·y n. pl. stat·u·ar·ies 1.
