Asia Pacific Resources Ltd. holds a 75% interest in a potash concession near Udon Thani, Thailand, located about 500 kms north of Bangkok. The concession covers an area of 2,333 sq.kms.

During 1993, the Company completed the first phase of its exploration program and confirmed the presence of a high grade sylvinite sylvinite: see potassium chloride.  deposit within the concession area at an average depth of 300 metres.

The second phase of the exploration program began early in 1994 and is expected to be completed by May, 1995. The objective of this phase is to delineate the extent of the potash resource, and assess its ability to support an economic potash mining operation.

The third phase of the program will begin with the preparation of a full feasibility study to confirm technical and economic feasibility for the project. This phase will also include the development of a trial mine and pilot plant, finalization of design criteria and completion of engineering and processing designs. A trial mine and pilot plant will be essential to demonstrate the anticipated full scale production costs and benefaction ben·e·fac·tion
