He played college football for the University of Southern California Trojans, leading them to an AP national  threw for more yards and touchdowns than last season, there was a perception this season was worse for him because he admitted he ``struggled'' during the season.

Leinart said he didn't regret telling the team midway through the season he performed poorly, even if it affected his Heisman Trophy candidacy.

``I didn't care about the whole individual stuff,'' Leinart said. ``I was being honest with the team and that drew their respect. I just told them the truth.''
