ASEAN, East Asia Forum agreement on natural disasters.

(SOP) for natural disaster mitigation, an agreement which follows recurrent

crises in the region recently. The 15th ASEAN summit which convened yesterday in Thailand discussed ways

to manage natural disasters, especially with the high frequency of disasters

occurring in the Southeast Asia region, Secretary General Surin Pitsuwan said. The ASEAN leaders and the East Asia Forum consisting of China, Japan, South

till 2015 regarding political, economic, geographical, humanitarian, and

global warming issues.
