ASC Names Key Business Development and Sales Execs to Roll Out RBOX Multi-Service Aggregator.VIENNA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 11, 1999--Advanced Switching Communications (ASC ASC Ambulatory surgery center, see there ), an emerging company that recently introduced the RBOX(tm) Multi-Service Aggregator for carriers and service providers, today announced three new additions to its senior management and sales management teams. They are Glen Hunt, vice president of business development, Craig Jenkins, area sales director for the western U.S., and Alex Dobson, area sales director for the southeastern U.S. and Canada. As ASC's vice president of business development, Mr. Hunt brings over 20 years experience in marketing and development for networking technologies. He was most recently vice president of marketing at Netrix Corporation, a manufacturer of ATM WAN switching products, and previously with Sprint International and Dynatech Corporation. He will oversee ASC's numerous existing and future strategic corporate partnerships. Mr. Dobson, area sales director, joined ASC from 3Com Corporation, where he managed the MCI (1) (Media Control Interface) A high-level programming interface from Microsoft and IBM for controlling multimedia devices. It provides commands and functions to open, play and close the device. (2) (Microwave Communications Inc. WorldCom account team and was responsible for coordinating worldwide sales efforts. Prior, Alex was the director of sales for 3Com's Carrier division in Canada and also worked in carrier sales for Motorola Information Systems and Develcon Electronics, a Canadian manufacturer of networking technology. Mr. Jenkins, area sales director, joined ASC from Ascend, where he was director of sales for the GTE GTE General Telephone & Electronics GTE Génie Thermique et Énergie (French) GTE Gas Turbine Engine GTE Global Tropospheric Experiment GTE Geothermal Energy GTE Gas Turbine Efficiency plc (Sweden & USA) account worldwide.
