ASARCO NAMES FOLTZ DIRECTOR OF TAXES.


NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 27, 1995--David B. Foltz has been named director of taxes of ASARCO Incorporated, it was announced today by Kevin R. Morano, Asarco vice president, finance and chief financial officer.

Mr. Foltz succeeds William Dowd who was recently named Asarco controller.

Mr. Foltz, 36, had been manager of tax research and planning for Asarco since 1989. Prior to Asarco, he was a manager in the international tax group at KPMG Peat Marwick.
