Beginning with the area's founding by Mormon settlers in 1850, the show, played out in the red-rock, outdoor 2,000-seat theater, includes battles against raging floods, the torching of the frontier town, Indian raids and gunfights. ``Utah!'' runs daily except Sunday. San Luis Obispo San Luis Obispo (săn l`ĭs ōbĭs`pō), city (1990 pop. 41,958), seat of San Luis Obispo co., S Calif., near San Luis Obispo Bay; inc. 1856. : The 14th annual Central Coast Wine Festival runs noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 31 in historic Mission Plaza, on the pedestrian-only part of Monterey Street, between Palm and Higuera streets. The event will feature local food and wines. Tickets are $25 per person in advance, $30 on the day of the event. Information: (805) 781-2777.

Felton: Roaring Camp & Big Trees Narrow Gauge Railroad will feature train rides, vaudeville acts, mock train robberies, a loggers' contest and entertainment Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 and 2. Steam trains will depart at 11 a.m., 12:15, 1:30, 2:45 and 4 p.m.; adult fare is $13, $9.50 for kids age 3-12. Departing at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. is the train headed for the beach boardwalk in Santa Cruz; adult fare is $15, kids 3-12 pay $11. Information: (408) 335-4484.
