AS/400 & ISERIES CUSTOMERS UTILIZE GUI/WEB-TO-HOST SOFTWARE.

California Software Corporation (BULLETIN BOARD: CAWC), Irvine, Calif., a leader in IBM Midrange migration products and developer of the award-winning BABY, Unibol and MLPS product lines, has announced the upcoming release of a new version of its popular Unibol 36 product.

Carol Conway, president, California Software, said, "Version 8 of Unibol 36 provides a plethora of new features not previously available on the Unibol 36 product line. Since we acquired Unibol in late 2000, our development team has been working diligently to create a new version of Unibol 36. The major criteria for this new product was as follows:

"Web-to-host capability, a full-featured and highly customizable graphical user interface, VB scripting capability, Oracle database integration, Microsoft Visual Studio IDE (Integrated Development Environment) and the ability to deploy Microsoft .NET technology.

"The integration of these technologies into Unibol 36 Version 8 means that customers will now have the ability to deploy web-capable, graphical and very scalable applications via Microsoft .NET technology. Native SSP applications running Unibol 36 version 8 can be hosted on an Oracle database on Microsoft, HP-UX, AIX or Linux platforms and be accessed via wireless or think client or MS browser-based workstations from anywhere, anytime."

With the latest technology from California Software and Microsoft the same GUI and web-to-host software available from your Unibol 36 version 8 can be used to make your AS/400 and iSeries-based customers graphical and web-enabled. That means customers will run one set of code regardless of platform and one set of screens regardless of platform, even running on the AS/400, itself.
