From 1996 to 1999, Nelson was the director of marketing/sales and business development with Healthpoint/Bay Area Occupational Medical Corp., Hayward. In this role, she was responsible for increasing revenues and market share over 50 percent. Nelson brings more than 17 years of sales and marketing experience in the healthcare field, including her positions as business development manager with NovaCare Inc. from 1995 to 1996; sales manager at Apria (formerly Total Pharmaceutical Care and Abbey Infusion) from 1993 to 1995, and at Thera-Kinetics Inc. from 1989 to 1993. Nelson, a resident of San Ramon, Calif., earned her bachelor of science in business administration from San Jose State University.
