) Monday announced that Anita Ryan is joining the company as vice president and controller, effective today.

Ryan, a CPA, has managed corporate accounting, finance and treasury functions since 1982 for several Southern California companies. She most recently served as vice president, finance and chief financial officer for Optical Disc Corp. a CD/DVD equipment manufacturer in Santa Fe Springs Santa Fe Springs, city (1990 pop. 15,520), Los Angeles co., SW Calif., inc. 1957. The city lies in an oil and natural gas region and has diversified manufacturing. . She joined Optical Disc in 1995 from Irvine-based Birtcher Medical Systems Inc., where she was vice president, finance and controller. Previously, Ryan was employed at Emulex Corp., based in Costa Mesa, from 1986 to 1992, last serving as corporate controller. Prior to Emulex, she was manager of corporate accounts at Tustin-based computer manufacturer MAI Basic Four MAI Basic Four (sometimes written as BasicFour or Basic 4) refers to a variety of business Basic, the computers that ran it, and the company that sold them (its name given variously as MAI Basic Four Inc., MAI Basic Four Information Systems, and MAI Systems Corporation). .
