Bob Arum on Sunday was adamant: No matter what, Floyd Mayweather Jr. will not fight a rematch with Zab Judah.

Even if the International Boxing Federation were to mandate that, it still won't happen, said Arum, Mayweather's promoter.

Mayweather won a unanimous decision over Judah on Saturday in Las Vegas, beating Judah's face to a pulp while taking his IBF welterweight belt.

During the 10th round, Judah hit Mayweather with a vicious low blow to the groin, then followed up with an illegal rabbit punch to the back of Mayweather's head as he was hunched over in pain.

In the mind of Judah's promoter, Don King, the second Mayweather's trainer, Roger Mayweather, leaped into the ring after the two fouls - inciting an all-out brawl that included members of both camps - Mayweather Jr. should have been disqualified.

King is expected to file a protest with both the IBF and the Nevada State Athletic Commission, although the commission already said late Saturday that referee Richard Steele acted within his power to not disqualify Mayweather.

"King pulls this when he is desperate," Arum said. "You may remember when Mike Tyson fought Buster Douglas (in February 1990). After Tyson got knocked out (in the 10th round), King protested that the referee did a long count when Tyson had knocked Douglas down (in the eighth).

"The WBC (World Boxing Council) was ready to go along with it until there was a public outcry. Even the IBF, as crazy as they are, they are not going to fall for that. If they do, who gives a damn? The one thing we don't need is for Mayweather to fight Judah again. What is that going to prove? Like Judah is going to do better next time?"

Many ringside reporters were of the belief that Judah purposely fouled Mayweather at that point in the fight, so as not to get knocked out.

The fighter's purses are still being held pending an investigation by the commission.

Roger Mayweather, who immediately went under suspension for being the first camp member in the ring, probably will receive a fine as well. Judah also could get fined because of the rabbit punch.

Judah could receive further punishment. In the post-fight news conference, he said he did not hit anyone during the row. But photos showed Judah punching two members of Mayweather's camp, including Roger Mayweather, whom Judah clocked behind the head.
