The fine art gallery ARTcnet.com, located at http://www.ARTcnet.com and established by Phyllis Zemble, is a multiculturally and ethnically diverse gallery with the doctrine of equal opportunity for all.

The goal of ARTcnet.com is to enhance the international reputation of its award-winning artists and artisans. Thus, in a decision by Zemble, ARTcnet.com is helping women gain equality in the arts by contributing 5% of its profits from the sale of its artwork by women artists and artisan from today through March 8, 2000, to the Women's Funding network (WFN).

WFN has been a force in educating women and girls and in organizing a network of foundations and individuals who believe in grants and projects to encourage women internationally.

In addition, Israel Art Tours, a division of ARTcnet.com, will contribute $50 to WFN for each person who signs up (from today through March 8) for the May 14 to May 26 Israel Art Tour, during which the traveler will wine, dine and discuss art with Israeli artists and artisans in their homes and studios. According to Zemble, the artwork of the renowned artists and artisans to be visited on the tours can be previewed at the gallery.

Phyllis Zemble, President of ARTcnet.com, has recently stepped down from the elected office of Commissioner of Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, Pa., in order to devote more of her time to the development of ARTcnet.com. As commissioner, Zemble was the first woman President of the Montgomery County Association of First Class Township Commissioners and served on the Board of the Pennsylvania State Association of First Class Township Commissioners.

Zemble has hired the World Wide Web Institute to market the online gallery, which has grown to over 800 pages and 41 artists and artisans, and has over 600 unique, quality artworks available for purchase. Each artist has a studio consisting of a body of work with enlargements and details, resume, personal statement and artist photograph.

The gallery has a small auction, a Special Sales section, a New Works section, a Bridal Registry, forums, language translation and an internal search. Since the gallery was opened on November 25, 1998, visitors from 80 countries have accessed more than 1,000,000 pages. The gallery consists of painting, sculpture, crafts, Judaica, limited edition prints and photography.
