ARTS NOTES.Byline: The Register-Guard New Zone Gallery to move out of Broadway building The New Zone Gallery has lost its free exhibition space. The 20-year-old artists' collective, with about four dozen current members, has been enjoying free use of space on the Eugene mall at 1 E. Broadway for the past year, thanks to landlord Gerald McDonnell and Associates. Now the building has a paying tenant on the horizon, and the New Zone has to be out by the end of April. The Downtown Core is a 266-hectare urban planning area in the south of the city-state of Singapore. La Follette Gallery & Framing, 410 E. 11th Ave., is moving to new quarters this spring at 931 Oak St. The new facility will provide more gallery and work space, says owner Cyndy Duerfeldt. It will also locate the gallery where it can more easily take part in the First Friday First Friday is a city-wide public event that occurs on the first Friday of every month. The events may take on many purposes, including art gallery openings and social networking. Art Walks. In the past five years the gallery has shown such artists as Betty LaDuke, Kacey Joyce, Mel Vincent, Jani Hoberg and the Benchmark Printmakers Group.
