ARTIST TALK AT MUSHROOM WORKS

CULTURE Club members are invited to attend a talk by artist Lee Turner at The Mushroom works on Tuesday, September 15 2009.

To coincide with PRINT, an exhibition that brings together two exciting new shows by regional artists and print makers, printmaker, Lee will be giving an informal discussion together with a tour of his studio.

Lee runs Hole Editions, an independent printing and publishing organisation, producing hand-printed original lithographs. Over the past three years, Lee has collaborated with a large number of national and international artists, including Jonathan Lasker, Julia Jacquette, Ruth Root, Ellen Birkenblit, Larry Brown, Jock Mooney and Alex Charrington to name a few.

As part of the event Lee will talk about his time at Tamarind Institute, University of New Mexico, the processes of lithography printing as well as the artists he has collaborated with.
