He currently resides in Santa Monica, California. Life and work Born in Los Angeles, California, Bachardy was the life partner of writer Christopher Isherwood, whom he met on Valentine's Day 1953, when he will appear at a reception tonight for an exhibition of his acrylic paintings acrylic painting Painting executed in the medium of acrylic resins—synthetic resins that dry rapidly, are water-soluble, and serve as a vehicle for any pigment. Its effects may range from the transparent brilliance of watercolour to the density of oil paint. in the Antelope Valley College Antelope Valley College is a comprehensive community college located in Lancaster, California, USA. It is operated by the Antelope Valley Community College District, with a primary service area of 1,945 square miles covering portions of Los Angeles and Kern counties. Art Gallery, 3041 W. Avenue K. "Portraits from Life," will feature a series of colorful portraits by Bachardy, including 50 exclusive, limited-edition prints created for sale as a fundraiser for the gallery, on the southwest corner of the campus. The reception will start at 7 p.m. and will include a talk and tour of the gallery by the artist. The exhibit will run through March 24.
