Lancaster (lăng`kəstər), city (1991 pop. 43,902) and district, county seat of Lancashire, NW England, on the Lune River.
 - The Antelope Valley College Antelope Valley College is a comprehensive community college located in Lancaster, California, USA. It is operated by the Antelope Valley Community College District, with a primary service area of 1,945 square miles covering portions of Los Angeles and Kern counties.  will open a new art exhibit Wednesday Wednesday: see week. , showcasing the sculptures and collected artwork of the late Judy Schwabacher.

A reception will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the gallery.

On display will be 40 busts of famous people such as Jackie Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr. and local residents, along with 40 paintings collected by Schwabacher, who the wife of a Lancaster attorney and a city parks, recreation and arts commission in the 1980s.
