About 200 artists between ages 4 and 17, along with their families, packed the Valencia Library to receive a certificate of recognition, view their artwork on display and enjoy musical entertainment.

The exhibit, which will run through Sunday at the library, includes drawings, paintings, sculptures, mosaics, photography, computer-generated art, watercolors, oils, abstracts, mixed media - all forms of two- and three-dimensional works - displayed in a gallery setting.

The Citywide Youth Art Exhibit is one of many pilot programs sponsored by the Young at Art Project under the umbrella of SCV-Arts Center for the Arts, a nonprofit A corporation or an association that conducts business for the benefit of the general public without shareholders and without a profit motive.
