MCLA Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association MCLA Michigan Compiled Laws Annotated MCLA Marine Corps League Auxiliary MCLA Model Centered Learning Architecture MCLA Mural Conservancy of Los Angeles ) have announced this year's tour schedule of area murals. SPARC, a nonprofit arts group founded in 1976, will begin the series Jan. 28 with a trip to "The Great Wall of Los Angeles The Great Wall of Los Angeles is a mural designed by Judith Baca and executed by community youth and artists coordinated by the Social and Public Art Resource Center (SPARC). " in Tujunga and other murals created in the organization's Neighborhood Pride Program. Other SPARC tours are of graffiti art (March 24); murals by women artists (May 26); West L.A. and Venice murals (July 28); Chicano murals in East L.A. (Sept. 22) and murals and altars in Pico-Union, East and South-Central L.A. and an anniversary procession in honor of La Virgen de Guadalupe (Dec. 8). MCLA's tours will include a day with muralist Terry Schoonhoven (Feb. 24), Hollywood and Koreatown murals (April 27), historical landmarks of Black L.A. (June 22), Jewish murals (Aug. 24), Lompoc and Ventura murals (Oct. 12-13) and Metro Rail art (Nov. 23). The tours are $25 per person; $20 for SPARC/MCLA members, students, seniors and groups. Landmark workshop The Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department is sponsoring a free workshop Jan. 20 to provide information about the city's landmark designation process. The workshop is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon at the San Antonio Winery The San Antonio Winery is the only remaining winery in the city of Los Angeles, and has operated since 1917. It only produces white wine.
