ARSENAL v PALACE TODAY, 8PM.

IAIN DOWIE Iain Dowie, (born January 9 1965 in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, England), is a football manager and coach, and former professional football player and Northern Ireland international. He was appointed manager of Coventry City on 19 February 2007.  hopes Crystal Palace might just be able to make the most of Arsenal's ``soft centre'' tonight.

The Gunners will be missing Sol Campbell Sulzeer Jeremiah "Sol" Campbell (born 18 September 1974 in Plaistow, London) is an English footballer. He is a defender for the English national team and is captain of Portsmouth in the English Premiership, having previously played for Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.  after the England defender twisted an ankle against Manchester United earlier this month, with the centre-back unlikely to feature again until after the Champions League clash with Bayern Munich on February 22.

Despite the best efforts of Pascal Cygan and Kolo Kolo (meaning "wheel" in some Slavic languages) may refer to one of the following:
  • Kolo (dance), a Serbian/Croatian circle dance
  • Koło County, a county in Poland
  • Koło, a Polish town and seat of Koło County
  • KOLO-TV, in Reno, Nevada
Toure, there is no doubt Arsenal miss Campbell's commanding presence at the heart of their back line.

While Dowie admits it is an area in which his men will be looking to put the home side under pressure, he knows the Eagles must first ensure they are able to retain the ball enough in order to exploit any potential weakness.

``It's a St Valentine's Day box of chocolates, one that I am going to enjoy and I hope that when I unwrap it it has got a soft centre, '' quipped the Palace manager.

Dowie added: ``(Arsenal's defence) will be an area people have looked at.

``With Sol Campbell, it is a great deal more commanding. Sol will miss out, so there is a question. But last week Villa were never really in their area because Arsenal had the ball so much. We must get the ball enough so we can test that area.

``I think width and delivery against any team is difficult to deal with. ''
