ARROYO SECO RENOVATIONS PUT ON HOLD.

SANTA CLARITA Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987. Situated in the Santa Clara valley and nearby canyons, Santa Clarita includes the former towns of Canyon Country,  - The Hart school board voted Monday to delay plans to close the crowded Arroyo Seco Arroyo Seco (Spanish: "dry creek") may refer to:

In October, the board contemplated six options for modernizing Arroyo Seco that varied in moving, operational and transportation costs, boundary changes and schedule restrictions.

District officials had favored a plan to remove students from campus because it was safer, more efficient and would lower the cost of construction.

Arroyo Seco will be the first campus to undergo modernization paid for by a locally approved bond measure. Improvements are expected to cost about $22 million.

The permanent buildings will be redesigned and upgraded, landscaping will be reconfigured to provide more covered areas for students, and parking facilities will be redesigned for safer entry and exit at the Arroyo Seco campus that has extensive wear and tear from years of overcrowding overcrowding
