ARRESTS MADE IN SLAYINGS.

LANCASTER - Two more suspects have been charged in separate 2003 homicide cases in which other men were already in custody, officials said Tuesday.

The men were charged in connection with a drive-by shooting drive-by shooting Public health A phenomenon in which one or more persons–commonly members of street gangs, open fire à la Al Capone from moving vehicles, often in retaliation for an alleged wrong-doing by a rival gang  in December that killed a teenager outside a Palmdale house and the slayings of two men in August in a car at a Lancaster intersection, reportedly over drugs.

James Kamply Morris, 24, was arrested in Minnesota and charged in the gang-related Dec. 5 drive-by shooting that killed 18-year-old Jonte Stewart and wounded three others.

``Through investigation, we knew that he had ties to the Minnesota area,'' Detective Philip Guzman said.

Morris and co-defendants Cozy See COSE.  Cole, 18, and Jamel Young, 20, have been charged in the Dec. 5 shooting.

Stewart and the three other victims were standing outside a party in the 38800 block of Juniper Tree road when they were hit by bullets fired from a passing car.

William Hogan William Hogan was born in Ireland and became a priest before emigrating to America around 1810. Assigned to St. Mary's parish in Philadelphia, he proved himself a popular priest. , 37, of Palmdale has already been charged in the slayings of House and Madden.

Family members of the victims said the shooting might have followed a drug deal that resulted in an argument.

Hogan was arrested Aug. 15 in a neighborhood near 37th Street West and Avenue L after leading deputies on a pursuit first in a vehicle through city streets, then running through back yards.
