VALENCIA - Conditions at Santa Clarita's jail will be downright frightening Sunday as ghouls take over the cells and welcome visitors for Halloween high jinks high jinks or hi·jinks

It's the 13th annual Santa Clarita Valley The Santa Clarita Valley is the valley of the Santa Clara River in Southern California. It stretches through Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Its main population center is the city of Santa Clarita. The valley was part of the 48,612-acre (19,672.  sheriff's station Haunted Jail- house, a fright fest Fright Fest is an event that takes place at Six Flags parks during the Halloween season. During Fright Fest, the parks are redecorated and some attractions are re-named or re-themed for the event. Also, Halloween-themed shows replace the shows that go on during the normal season.  tailored to all ages to make money for several local charities.

The bad guys will go elsewhere for the day and costumed characters will take over the jail at the back of the sheriff's station, 23740 Magic Mountain Parkway, Valencia. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Volunteers will lead groups through the haunted jail, with a special tour for children.

The jail is being decorated by members of the Santa Clarita Valley Boys & Girls Club Girls Club is a 2002 American television series created by David E. Kelley, who was also it's producer and executive producer. Only two out of a total of thirteen episodes created were broadcast on Fox Television in the United States and Global Television in Canada. , one of the local groups that will benefit from the annual Halloween festival. Donations of $1 will be collected for the club at the jail-house.

 Newhall Optimist Club, the Domestic Violence Center and Mothers Unlimited - also will raise money at the event. There will be Sheriff's Department displays as well as game booths, moon bounces, food and music.

Costume contests for various age groups will start at 12:30 p.m. and prizes will be awarded in each age category. Little ones young children.

 under 2 will be judged at 12:30 p.m., 2- to 4-year-olds at 1 p.m.; 5- to 7-year-olds, 1:30; 8- to 10-year-olds, 2 p.m.; 11- to 12-year-olds at 2:30 p.m.; and 13 years to adult at 3 p.m.
