VALENCIA - A Valencia man has been arrested in the death of a man who died after being punched Feb. 11 outside a Newhall fast-food restaurant.

Arturo Velasquez, 28, was identified with the help of surveillance camera images of the attack on 50-year-old Isidro Antunez, who had been standing outside the drive-up window at a Jack in the Box restaurant on Lyons Avenue.

Velasquez was arrested on suspicion of murder but prosecutors are expected to file a charge of involuntary manslaughter The act of unlawfully killing another human being unintentionally.

Most unintentional killings are not murder but involuntary manslaughter. The absence of the element of intent is the key distinguishing factor between voluntary and involuntary manslaughter.

After the attack, the restaurant manager said, a surveillance tape showed a car pulling up to the drive-up window. A passenger got out, struck Antunez once, then got back into the car. The night was rainy and the image was blurred and grainy grain·y
