is being held in the death of Dania Mezen, who died at a hospital hours after being shot at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday inside an apartment in the 8600 block of Wilbur Avenue, police said.
Mezen's children led a neighbor to her aid and she was transported to a local hospital, where she died.
Vasquez was arrested later at a nearby business, and booked on suspicion of murder, police said. He was being held Thursday at Twin Towers jail downtown on a no-bail warrant.
