GLENDALE Thieves make getaway with city fire hydrants Two fire hydrants were stolen during the past week in Glendale, apparently to be sold as scrap metal, authorities said Monday. Glendale has seen a sudden rise in metal thefts, including electrical wiring, said city spokesman Ritch Wells.
