The Antelope Valley Parent faces no charges in fracas PALMDALE -- No criminal charges will be filed against a parent involved in a racially charged fracas over a spilled birthday cake at Knight High School, prosecutors said Friday. Latrisha Majors, 39, who is black, was arrested along with her daughter and two other students in connection with the Sept. 18 lunchtime scuffle with a white school security guard that prompted protest marches alleging racism. Prosecutors noted that Majors had been told her daughter was being detained and was in an emotional state when she confronted school officials. The cases against Majors' daughter and another female student are still being reviewed. A male student has been charged and is awaiting trial in Lancaster Juvenile Court juvenile court Special court handling problems of delinquent, neglected, or abused children.
