LANCASTER - Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger (German pronunciation (IPA): [ˈaɐ̯nɔlt ˈaloɪ̯s ˈʃvaɐ̯ʦənˌʔɛɡɐ]  is scheduled to attend a Sept. 12 dinner expected to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for his ballot measures.

``He's been here several times. The governor, who has said he wants to raise $50 million for the fight, on Sunday hosted a high-priced reception at the Rolling Stones' Boston concert. Schwarzenegger's Boston reception drew picketing by California nurses, who have promised to follow the governor to his fundraisers.

At Schwarzenegger's first Antelope Valley political appearance in September 2003, more than 1,300 people filled the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds' Poppy Pavilion for a $250-a-plate dinner for Schwarzenegger's gubernatorial campaign during the recall of Gov. Gray Davis.

That appearance also drew about 30 Democrats who picketed outside the fairgrounds' fence.

In May 2004, he was in the valley for the funeral of the late state Sen. W.J. ``Pete'' Knight.

Last April, Schwarzenegger came to Lancaster to talk to diners at Crazy Otto's restaurant about his plans to overhaul state government, of which the ballot measures are a part.
