ARMY IS 'HUMANE'.


A BRITISH Israeli soldier shot in the foot in Gaza insists he and his comrades are trying to be as "humane as possible".

Avi Cohen Avraham "Avi" Cohen (born November 14 1956 in Tel Aviv) is a former Israeli football (soccer) player who played in defence. He is best known internationally for his spell playing for Liverpool in England. He is currentlty chairman of the Israel Professional Footballers Association. , 23, whose late grandad was a rabbi in London, was shot by a Hamas sniper See sniping software.  two days after he led his paratrooper unit of 20 soldiers into battle last week. He said: "It is difficult to know who is Hamas and who is civilian. We try to be as humane as possible. You try and make the right decision.

"Terrorists choose positions in schools and hospitals because they know we don't want to hurt civilians."
