ARMSTRONG RECEIVES AWARD FROM FARM MANAGERS, APPRAISERS.

Farm broadcaster Max Armstrong was recently named by the Illinois Society of Professional Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers as the recipient of its annual Outstanding Service to Illinois Agriculture Award.

The ISPFMRA presented the honor to Armstrong during its annual meeting in February in Springfield. The society termed Armstrong an influential journalist who has used his influence to effectively communicate with farmers and to strengthen the image of agriculture among nonfarmers.

Armstrong is one of America's best-known and most widely followed agricultural broadcasters. His daily broadcasts with colleague Orion Samuelson on WGN Radio in Chicago are heard by millions of Americans.
