ARJO WIGGINS APPLETON PLC REACHES AGREEMENT WITH INTERNATIONAL PAPER FOR THE PURCHASE OF MUEHLEBACH GROUP.


PURCHASE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 23, 1995--Arjo Wiggins Wiggins may refer to:

 Appleton and International Paper announced today that they have reached an exclusive agreement that, in the event International Paper obtains majority control of Holvis AG, International Paper will seek to effect the sale by Holvis of the Muehlebach Group to Arjo Wiggins Appleton.

The principal activity of the Muehlebach Group is paper merchanting in Switzerland, where it has a leading market position.
