ARISTOTLE CORPORATION REPORTS NASDAQ HEARING RESULTS

NEW HAVEN, Conn., July 30 /PRNewswire/ -- The Aristotle Corporation (NASDAQ: ARTL) reported that it has been informed by the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASDAQ) that since the company is now in compliance with NASDAQ requirements, the company's securities will continue to be listed on the NASDAQ National Market System.
"This is a very positive development," stated John Crawford, president and chief executive officer, "particularly in light of the company's continuing review of acquisition opportunities. We view our listing on the NASDAQ National Market System as an important asset that we can bring to any acquisition."
In May, the company announced that NASDAQ was considering delisting the company because of a disclaimer in its 1992 audit opinion. After a change in fiscal year and the issuance of an opinion by the company's new auditors, NASDAQ agreed the company was now in compliance.
The company's trading symbol is ARTL. At June 30, 1993, there were 10,989,952 shares outstanding.
