The professor was also a main speaker at the network's first conference in the capital late last year. Participants had the opportunity to look into techniques of using computers in their work, during several workshops on computer-assisted reporting. The conference offers training sessions in investigating climate change, tracking corruption, advanced writing and interviewing techniques, conducting investigations with limited resources and without freedom of information figured high on the Conference Agenda. At the end of the event, ARIJ ARIJ Applied Research Institute - Jerusalem ARIJ Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism honored during a ceremony held today evening under the auspices of the Vice-President of the Senate House Taher al-Masri a group of journalists for the best three investigations survey completed in 2009 in the printing, media, visual, and audio.
