ARIAD Further Strengthens Medical Oncology Leadership.


CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- ARIAD ARIAD Allison Research Index of Art and Design  Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARIA) today announced the appointment of Daniel R. Vlock, M.D. to the newly created position of vice president, clinical research. In this role, Dr. Vlock will work closely with ARIAD's chief medical officer in the leadership of the clinical development of the Company's oncology product candidate portfolio. His initial focus will be on the Phase 3 clinical program for ARIAD's lead oncology product candidate, AP23573, in the treatment of patients with advanced sarcomas Sarcomas Definition

Dr. Vlock brings extensive pharmaceutical industry and academic experience in cancer drug development to ARIAD.
