ARIAD Announces Webcast of its Annual Shareholders Meeting.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARIA) today announced that its Annual Meeting of Shareholders on June 16, 2005 will be webcast live and can be accessed by visiting the investor relations section of the Company's website at http://www.ariad.com/investor.

The annual meeting will take place at 10:00 a.m. (EDT) at the Company's headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts and will include an overview of the Company and its key programs provided by Harvey J. Berger, M.D., chairman and chief executive officer of ARIAD. A replay will be available on the ARIAD website approximately three hours after the presentation and will be archived for two weeks.
