ARGOSY MINING CORP. - AUSTRIAN DRILLING PROGRAM.

VANCOUVER, BC--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 23, 1995--Argosy Mining Corp. announces that its Austrian gold exploration program has been accelerated by engaging a second diamond drill.

Drilling has now begun on the Schellgaden Gold Property, some 30 kilometres north of the Goldeck Property where the commencement of drilling was announced Aug. 8, 1995.

A two stage drilling program will test the thickness and grade of mineralization Mineralization

A program of underground channel sampling announced on July 17, 1995 confirmed that over 10 grams gold/tonne (0.3 oz gold/ton) mineralization mined between the 14th and 18th centuries extends to the southern extremity extremity /ex·trem·i·ty/ (eks-trem´i-te)

Argosy's drilling will test the Stubelbau Mine 200 to 400 metres (660 to 1320 feet) south of the mine workings to assess the reserve potential of an initial 1000 metre (3300 foot) long section of the four kilometre structure. The reserve potential is believed to be excellent based on the high grade zones previously mined and the persistence (1) In a CRT, the time a phosphor dot remains illuminated after being energized.
