ARGENTINEAN VISITORS EARN EASY VICTORY.

THE St Edward College 1st XV, who had won five of their first six games this season, including wins at Wirral GS and Cowley, came unstuck against a visiting Argentinean school touring team.

Cardinal Newman Catholic School from Buenos Aries, a fellow Christian Brothers School, handed out a 56-3 thrashing to a much-depleted home side.

The fixture unfortunately clashed with a school trip to Auschwitz and a Duke of Edinburgh expedition, which meant seven of the St Edward's usual starting line up was absent.

At the post match meal the players sat together taking pictures and exchanging gifts.

The visitors also stayed in the homes of their hosts and the whole occasion reflected good sportsmanship of both teams.
