AREW to honor top 50 women.

Having been exclusively selected by Real Estate Weekly to name the Top Real Estate Women of the past 50 years in conjunction with the publication's half-century anniversary, the Association of Real Estate Women (AREW) is holding a cocktail reception for the honorees at The Pierre Hotel, Fifth Avenue and 61st Street, from 6:00-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 17.

Betsy Gotbaum, public advocate, will be the guest speaker.

"AREW's mission, when our organization was established more than 25 years ago, was to support and enhance the position of women professionals in the real estate industry," said AREW vice president, Michele Medaglia, president of ACC See adaptive cruise control.  Construction Corp. who is serving as committee chair for the selection process and reception. "We remain the most consistent supporter of women in real estate and are honored to have been selected by Real Estate Weekly to name women who are innovators and outstanding leaders."

AREW formed a selection committee to oversee the nomination process, tally the results and make a final decision regarding the 50 women named. Members of the committee were former AREW presidents Elisa Baudanza, Ruth A. Agnese, Suzanne Kliegerman, AREW vice president Michele Medaglia and AREW founder and first president, Merle Ginsburg..
