AREW elects new president.Michele Medaglia, president of ACC See adaptive cruise control. Construction, has been elected President of the New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of chapter of the Association of Real Estate Women (AREW) for the 2004/2005 year. Medaglia, who leads a preeminent New York-based Woman-owned Business Enterprise (WBE WBE Women's Business Enterprise WBE Women-owned Business Enterprises WBE Woman-owned Business Enterprise WBE Web-Based Education WBE Welch-Bound-Equality WBE World Business Exchange WBE Warner Bros. ) General Contracting and Construction Management firm, was officially sworn in June 3, 2004. She previously served as AREW's vice president and recently chaired a gala to honor 50 Top Real Estate Women of the Past 50 Years. Medaglia succeeds Marie-Claire Cunningham, managing director of Corporate Services for GVA GVA general visceral afferent system of nerves. Williams, who will continue her work with the organization, seated on the board as Immediate Past President. Other AREW officers for 2004-5 include: Amy Applebaum, vice president; Martha Meli, treasurer; Marcy Stein, secretary; and Stephanie Butler, member at large. The new officers represent a broad range of professional affiliations within the industry: Ms. Applebaum is Vice President, JP Morgan Chase Community Development Group; Ms. Meli is Director of Corporate Real Estate Services, BDO Seidman, LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol ; Ms. Stein heads up business development for Gardiner & Theobald Inc; and Ms. Butler is Senior Vice President, Title Associates. Other members of the 2004-5 AREW Board of Directors include Luncheon Co-Chairs Theresa Nygard and Monica Rich; Membership Co-Chairs Jackie Direnzo and Rebecca May; Programs Chair Iva Kravitz; Sponsorship Co-Chairs Anne Covell and Kimberly Gillespie; Special Events Co-Chairs Anne Teshima and Kathleen McSharry; and Communications Co-Chairs Pat Hildebrandt and Maria Gonzalez.
