``This is one ugly, frightful thing,'' Ward said. ``It's a truly scary thing.''

Donated by a movie studio, the monster was used in the John Carpenter movie ``In the Mouth of Madness.''

``He only used it for three minutes "Three Minutes" is the 46th episode of Lost. It is the twenty-second episode of the second season. The Seco Canyon Haunted Hill House in Saugus will feature the Hill family and their home, each of the 14 rooms with a different theme. It is expected to attract 2,000 people, Ward said.

As visitors travel the maze of the haunted house at 22919 Nayan Place, they will learn the story of the Hill family.

``We want to do this as an annual event,'' said Ward, who worked with the Scouts last year when they were Cub Scouts and put together their first haunted house. ``Last year we attracted 600 people.

``We want to make it bigger and bigger every year. We already have ideas now for next year.''

Charging $2 for people over 4 feet tall and $1 for anyone 4 feet and under, the newly formed Scout troop is hoping to use the funds to help buy camping and hiking equipment.

``Additional money will be split between the Scouts that helped with the haunted house to pay for their summer camp,'' Ward said.
