ARCO TO CONDUCT HANDS-ON TRAINING PROGRAM ON TUESDAY, JULY 7
 FOR MINORITY CONTRACTORS
ARCO will conduct a hands-on training program on Tuesday, July 7, for minority contractors hired to do repair work at ARCO stations damaged during the Los Angeles riots.
The training (with excellent pictorial value) will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the am/pm station at 14221 So. Figueroa St. (at Rosecrans) in South Central Los Angeles.
Seven newly hired minority contractors will attend the training session, which will be conducted by five long-time ARCO contractors, including three other minority firms. The scope of work will include installing ARCO signage and graphics, landscaping, masonry and cabinetry.
On-site ARCO media contacts will be Richard C. Spake, Retail Facilities manager; Larry E. Wright, Minority Business Coordinator; Keith J. McCormack, Maintenance Coordinator; and John D. Bukowski, Maintenance Coordinator. The station telephone number is: 310-324-6445.
NOTE: Complimentary refreshments and box lunches will be available at the training site.
CONTACT: Annie Reutinger of ARCO Public Affairs, 213-486-3181.
